Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Logistics Engineer.
The role You will create a link between system parts created by engineering and the purchase order according to the logistic baseline. As Logistics Engineer you assure the in-time purchasing, in-time delivery and in-time dispatching of all shipbuilding related parts and have a signalling function towards the Project Planner.
You will be onsite during the construction of the vessel. You will follow the planning and assure that the production department has all material available to work and that the material is on-site at the time requested by production. As Logistics Engineer you order material, contracted in framework agreements or other, on request of the production foremen or production coordinator if necessary. You will also order the warehouse to deliver as requested with the use of the ERP system.
Responsibilities:
Create MWBS and follow up on any changes within the purchase orders/MWBS with procurement
Administrate and report status, time deviations and/or bottlenecks towards the project team
Be contact person for material and equipment deliveries and intermediate for the project building locations and subcontractors
Provide input for PIP maintenance on logistic data from subcontractors and others
Work within the given limits for time, budget, and quality per project
Communicate clearly within the line and project organization
Inform production management immediately and clearly if material is not available in time
Functie-eisen
Intermediate vocational education (MBO-4) Mechanical Engineering, Logistics Engineering or equivalent
Experience in a production and/or assembly environment and shipbuilding
Thorough knowledge of logistic and shipbuilding processes
Ability to work with computer (programming) software like MS Office, PDM (Teamcenter), ERP (BAAN/SAP) and Planning Software (Primavera)
Strong understanding of all phases of production, including the processing of raw materials into finished goods, assembly process, commissioning process
Excellent personal time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with possible conflicting deadlines
Excellent command of Dutch and English language
EU citizenship or EU work visa is required
A background check will be part of the selection procedure

Salary: up to € 4000,- gross per month, depending on experience
Annual leave: 27 days per year
ADV hours: 13 days per year with the option to sell these in exchange for a maximum of 5% more salary (0.383% per day)
Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then 0.19 cents per km. A T-tag is issued for employees who use the Westerscheldetunnel for commuting
