Job description

Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Naval Architect / Requirements analyst for a project-based position.
 
The role
For the German Frigate order, the set of requirements are managed in DOORS. As Naval Architect / Requirements analyst you will support the Principal Naval Architect in control of the requirements in the platform design. You will be linking the customer requirements and derived requirements to the applicable system elements and/or documents. You will also be linking the requirements derived from the department of Function and Operation Analysis to the applicable system elements. While defining the requirements, you will monitor the quality, consistency and updates of the worksheets. These activities shall be performed in good communication with the system architects and subject experts.

Job requirements

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture or another relevant degree
  • Experience of five years in Design or Engineering of ships
  • Mastery of the English language, both written and verbal and the ability to read the German language is considered a plus
  • EU citizenship and EU work visa is required
  • A background check will be part of the selection procedure

Our offer

  • Salary: up to € 5500,- gross per month, depending on experience/education
  • Annual leave: 27 days per year
  • Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then 0.19 cents per km. A T-tag is issued for employees who use the Westerscheldetunnel for commuting
