Job description
Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen we are looking for an xR-Developer.
The role Our client uses emerging immersive (xR) technologies like Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) to support the shipbuilding process and the operation of naval vessels. These technologies are used for sales, concept development, design, production, training, operation, and maintenance. These technologies are, most of the time, connected to other domains including but not limited to education, gamification and serious games, data, and maintenance. A multidisciplinary scrum team uses these technologies to create software applications that run on xR devices like HTC Vive, Oculus Quest and Microsoft HoloLens.
Key accountabilities:
Develop C# code in Unity game engine
Maintain and develop productivity tools (Python)
Maintain and update development environment
Design functional and/or conceptual parts of xR products
Optimize internal processes and tooling
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in the field of software development and preferably game development or by experience, possess the same competencies and skills
At least three years of working experience as a developer in the Unity3D game engine
Solid understanding of the C# language and software development (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns)
You have excellent English communication skills in writing and speaking
EU citizenship or EU work visa is required
A background check will be part of the selection procedure
Our offer
Salary: up to € 6000,- gross per month, depending on experience
Annual leave: 27 days per year
ADV hours: 13 days per year with the option to sell these in exchange for a maximum of 5% more salary (0.383% per day)
Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then 0.19 cents per km. A T-tag is issued for employees who use the Westerscheldetunnel for commuting
