Job description

Our client provides the best-engineered heavy lift transport on land and at sea in a safe, efficient, and sustainable way. They own and operate an innovative fleet of highly adaptable heavy transport vessels, and ensure the safe transportation of heavy cargo across the world.

The Role
As a Global QHSSE Advisor, you will be working on the development of standards and procedures across functions and improvement plans. This must be in line with relevant business requirements, QHSSE policies, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), and legislation. The goal is to minimize QHSSE risks and maximize quality and operational safety performance. You will be responsible for the Operations Quality Management System and keep the organization well informed about the required Way of Working.
 
You will report to the Global Head of QHSSE and are expected to work proactively with staff and managers to establish and maintain sustainable & safe systems of work. In addition, you will perform audits individually and transfer these into data within our systems to give solid advice to the involved stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities
  • Implement and achieve the objectives of the QHSSE plan and KPI’s.
  • Maintain and promote the Operations Quality Management System as per the applicable standards
  • Manage QHSSE registrations and follow up on QHSSE-related incidents, audits, Inspections, and their corrective and preventive actions.
  • Identify and evaluate QHSSE improvements and shortcomings in current processes in order to continuously improve.
  • Promote and communicate QHSSE culture and awareness by (proactive) advising, educating, and supporting management and staff on QHSSE matters.
  • Proactively carry out audits & inspections and advise on how to improve methods of work in compliance with the applicable regulations and company procedures.
  • Act as the “Prevention Officer” for the Dutch entities.

Job requirements

  • A relevant bachelor's degree, qualified as Safety Engineer (HVK/MVK) will be advantageous
  • Experienced in performing QHSSE audits and analyzing results
  • People skills incl persuading and influencing
  • Writing, reporting, presentation, and communication skills
  • Delivering results
  • English and preferably also Dutch language skills
