Job description

Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Project Controller.

The role
Your main responsibility is to be responsible for performing financial integrity in the day-to-day project management, by being accountable for the financial and risk management of assigned projects and/or tenders. You will perform project control and contract management, and you will be monitoring and preserving project objectives and also producing accurate financial and qualitative project reports.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for project control of the dedicated project(s), including risk management, cash flow management, cost control, forecasting, reporting, contract management and general monitoring progress
  • Proactive role in applying all compliance rules and regulations
  • Promotes cost awareness and ensures that these are understood and owned by project management and project team
  • Monitors all the factors influencing liquidity and ensures that the project team is aware of these
  • Identify problems and independently propose ways to improve the project financial results
  • Deliver monthly reports and quarterly updates of the project financial status. All reports must be produced accurately, one time and including analysis and full explanations
  • Liaise with the legal department to ensure deviations in the contract or changes are correctly processed and followed up

Job requirements

  • BA in Controlling/ Accounting or related experience
  • Experience in a Project Management environment (incl cash flow management)
  • 5+ yrs of experience with controlling projects in a technical environment
  • Ability to frequently travel long distances and work abroad
  • Dutch and English communication skills
  • EU citizenship or EU work visa is strictly required
  • A background check will be part of the selection procedure

Our offer

  • Salary: up to € 4500,- gross per month, depending on experience
  • Annual leave: 27 days per year
  • ADV hours: 13 days per year with the option to sell these in exchange for a maximum of 5% more salary (0.383% per day)
  • Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then 0.19 cents per km. A T-tag is issued for employees who use the Westerscheldetunnel for commuting
  • Collective Labor Agreement: Collective Labor Agreement Metalektro applies
  • Pension: Compulsory participation in the PME pension scheme
  • Premium distribution: employer 50% and employee 50%
  • Profit-sharing: If the results of the company give reason to do so
