Our client, a renowned Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with an established customer portfolio is currently seeking a Senior Extended Reality xR Developer to be based in Vlissingen on a project-based assignment. Given the military nature of clients and projects, an EU citizenship and a valid EU work visa are mandatory

The role
You will be working with other developers, subject matter experts, game designers, and game artists in a scrum team building mind-blowing immersive environments and serious games to train our clients’ sailors
We need a programming ninja (preferably with a black belt in Unity C#) to help build our virtual ships
Not only do our virtual ships in Unity need building, but our in-house productivity tools also need developer attention (Python and Blender)
You will need to validate your developer skills by completing a small programming assessment

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the field of software development and preferably game development or possess the same competencies and skills through experience
• At least three years of working experience as a developer in the Unity3D game engine
• Solid understanding of the C# language and software development (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns)
• Experience with the development of Virtual Reality applications, Python, the Blender API, and relational databases are considered a plus
• English communication skills - verbal and written
• Full-time availability at our clients office (due to the military nature of the project) ZZP possible
• Due to the military nature of the projects, applicants from outside the EU will not be considered
• A background check will be part of the selection procedure
