Renewable energy is the future! At Oceanwide, we've known this for years. That is why we on a contant search for the best personnel for our customers. The NOS confirms that the unprecedented demand for wind technicians, among other things, is not unfounded in an dutch article from February 27: https://bit.ly/3q3BUoe. Tens of thousands of additional energy technology specialists will be needed in the coming years to work towards a CO2 neutral economy.
However, a study by the NVDE showed that, despite the growing demand, the number of new students has decreased. NVDE director Olaf van der Gaag thinks this is mainly due to the undervaluation of craftsmanship in the Netherlands. And thus states that technical education wrongly has a 'dirty-handed image'. To improve this image, the NVDE has launched a 10-point plan to make technology in a broad sense interesting again, especially for future students in secondary education (havo/vwo) and also by giving MBO students a specific title after graduation.
At Oceanwide, we believe that technology, and especially energy technology, is an important sector for the coming years. Realizing a sustainable economy stands or falls with the specialists available for the coming years. Therefore, Oceanwide is fully committed to recruiting, enthusing and providing training to our existing and future energy specialists, which we do in collaboration with our customers.
As an employer in the search for suitable technical personnel, you are also welcome to contact us without any obligation to see together what we can do for each other.
