Oceanwide is an international maritime recruitment and HR services company, specializing in the maritime and offshore/energy sectors, covering all vessel types and production platforms.

We are currently in the process of opening an office in Riga early November 2024. You can be part of our new Oceanwide location to attract latvian workers for our clients.

Oceanwide operates worldwide with a focus on Europe (North Sea) and USA (Gulf of Mexico), supported a network of recruitment offices and agents in maritime countries. Together, we provide first-class service to our customers. Our services include all recruitment and HR services, as well as managing crew operations such as crew changes.

As a Crewing Officer:

• You will source and attract candidates by advertising vacancies on national and international job boards, HR platforms, LinkedIn and the company’s website.
• You will build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs through active networking and engagement with potential candidates.
• You will conduct screening interviews, manage salary negotiations, and coordinate job interviews.
• You will manage the onboarding process for new employees.
• You will oversee crew documents and ensure compliance with national and international maritime legislation.
• You will facilitate visa applications, flight bookings, and other supporting documents for employees.
• You will maintain relationships with local maritime institutions, training centers, and industry organizations.

Functie-eisen

• Relevant experience in recruiting and crew operations in maritime industry. Preferably you have a minimum of 5 year experience.
• Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good knowledge of English and Latvian (written and verbal).
• Experience and/or enthusiasm for social media.
