We are urgently looking for two Electrical Commissioning Engineers for our client a Dutch renowned Shipbuilder to join an existing team working on a Combat Support Ship in Galati, Romania to finalize construction activities prior to final trails and handover.
 
The Electrical Commissioning Engineer oversees that electrical systems are installed, tested, and operated safely and efficiently. This involves working closely with other engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure that the system is designed and installed according to specifications.
 
The purpose of this role is to carry out the assigned duties, which include but no limit to:

• Be in charge of commissioning for ship electrical and automation systems according to the ship’s specification in technical design.
• Support technical engineer to make/ update electrical drawings, connection diagrams, and cable lists.
• Prepare requirement technical spec and BOM for purchasing.
• Coordinate interfaces from different system providers.
• Coordinate interfaces between Production, Technical and Commissioning departments to check the quality and process on vessel.
• Test and show electrical and automation systems to Class and Owner to make sure that the system is functional according to the ship’s specification.
• Handover Electrical system to the Owner and the vessel crew, including Report and training.
• Prepare and attend Sea Trial for test and report as assigned.
• Manage of technical documents from outsourcing Company.
• Comply with approved drawings from Authorities, ship Owner and the Classification society.
• Technical supervision of the manufacturing department and outsourcing Company.
• Coordinate the information flow with relevant parties.
• Following up design progress, manage drawings and technical documents.

Functie-eisen

Qualifications Required 

• A degree in Electrical Engineering.
• High Voltage (6.6kV) qualified.
• Experience working in electrical engineering, preferably within a Naval Shipbuilding setting.
• A strong understanding of electrical theory and electrical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• You're capable of conveying technical details to non-technical parties.
• Confident in written and spoken English.
