Functieomschrijving

Our client operates the world's largest crane vessels and with them, they transport, install, and remove offshore structures for the offshore energy markets. For their facility in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Yard Coordinator.

The role
As Yard Coordinator, you are responsible for the day-to-day logistics for vessels as well as for the logistical preparation of all offshore projects related to the vessels. You will ensure barges and vessels are loaded, offloaded, and stowed efficiently and within schedule. Cargo will vary from small objects to big challenging objects. Furthermore, you will be the point of contact for the crew, who will perform the physical activities, regarding logistics. The required information on which loading and offloading is based is supplied by the equipment resource team. Together with the yard team, project teams, and the equipment resource team, you will ensure efficient operations are being conducted. From time to time, you will provide assistance to Shipping & Receiving Coordinators and you will assist in the warehouse.

 
Key accountabilities
  • To ensure barges and vessels are loaded, offloaded, and stowed efficiently and within schedule
  • To be the logistical point of contact for the crew
  • To ensure efficient operations are being conducted

Functie-eisen

  • Vocational (MBO)
  • Fluent English
  • Experience in port terminal operations or shipping and warehouse logistics, preferably within an offshore company.
  • Knowledge of logistics software and SAP
  • Understanding of QHSE systems
  • Dangerous Goods Awareness
  • Flexible, incidentally when required working overtime and working in the weekends
