As a Chief Officer, you are responsible for the supervision and efficient operation of the deck department. You act as bridge watch-keeper and you are second-in-command on the minimum safe manning. You have a proactive approach to improving our vessels and developing the Deck Officers on board, and you will plan and execute all passenger operations in close cooperation with the Expedition Leader.

Functie-eisen

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Chief Officer role, along with demonstrated experience in polar ice navigation. Experience on expedition vessels is highly preferred.

Requirements:

• Valid PEC (Pilotage Exemption Certificate) for Svalbard is an advantage
• Good command of both spoken and written English
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Able to work in multicultural environment
• Polarcode Advanced certificate
