Oceanwide Expeditions specializes in small-scale adventurous expedition cruises to the polar regions. With our fleet of ice-strengthened vessels, we offer our passengers unique expedition voyages to Antarctica and the Arctic.

As a 3rd Engineer, you will play a key role within the engineering department and work closely with the Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer, and fellow engineering officers. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various technical systems on board, ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the vessel. You are committed to maintaining high standards of safety and environmental compliance and are motivated by the challenges of operating in remote polar regions. For this position you get started on the Vessel the m/v Hondius.

What we expect from you:

• Experience as a marine engineer, preferably on vessels with conventional engine types. Experience on passenger vessels is an advantage.
• A valid Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (STCW III/1) Certificate of Competency with no limitations.
• Experience with planned maintenance systems and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Hands-on mentality with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team.
• Good communication skills and a good command of the English language.
