AB/Cook Towage Vessels

Job description

In the role of 'AB/Cook' you go on board towage vessels. you will work for essential deck operations and your culinary duties as a Cook. You stand as a crucial support to the daily opperations togetter wih the crew.
 
Responsibilities:

• AB: Assisting in the navigation and of the vessel.
• AB: Performing vital deck tasks related to the specific needs of towing operations, including securing tow lines, ensuring the safety of cargo, and maintaining deck equipment.
• AB: Keeping in touch with port authorities and other vessels as necessary, ensuring smooth operations during towage assignments.
• AB: Troubleshooting operational and technical challenges encountered during missions, providing timely and effective solutions.
• AB: Compiling and communicating reports about the voyage's progress and any incidents or anomalies to the shipping company's management.
• Cook: Crafting nutritious and appealing meals for the crew, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary needs, while keeping an eye on food safety and sanitation standards.
• Cook: Managing the galley's inventory with efficiency, from menu planning to procuring supplies, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients.
• Cook: Maintaining galley equipment in top condition, establishing regular cleaning routines, and addressing minor repairs as needed.

Job requirements

• Possession of relevant maritime certifications, including STCW, tailored towards towage vessel operations.
• Experience as an AB/Cook on towage or similar vessels, demonstrating a clear understanding of the unique challenges of towage services.
• Proven cooking skills with a wide range of recipes and adeptness in meal preparation and planning.
• knowledge of maritime laws, safety standards, and regulations pertinent to towage operations.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication and documentation purposes.
• A positive attitude ready to tackle problems as they arise.
