Job description

The Role
For this interim role we are looking for an Arrangement and Steel Outfitting Engineer who can start on short notice on a temporary basis. As Arrangement and Steel Outfitting Engineer you will work on a broad variety of tasks in the field of structures & outfitting, where outfitting includes arrangements of accommodation and technical spaces. 

You will also work in detailed engineering in a multi-disciplinary team but mainly with regards to arrangements and steel outfitting. As Arrangement and Steel Outfitting Engineer you will implement your technical knowledge and practical experience, on subjects as maintainability, producibility and ergonomics etc.
 
Accountabilities

  • Execute engineering activities within the 2D and 3D environments, such as Cadmatic or 3DX.
  • Ensure full compliance to all applicable requirements and specifications imposed by Regulatory Bodies and the customer.
  • Contribute to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables, such as (statutory) plans according to applicable rules and regulations, complicated arrangements, technical specifications, system descriptions and verification and validation documents.
  • Participate in the Product & Proposal phase and verify technical data of vendors and subcontractors.
  • Perform technical analysis on received offers under supervision of a senior engineer or team lead.

Job requirements

  • BSc degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering or Vocational (MBO-4+) with relevant ship structures experience
  • Experience with layouts and technical arrangements and with the engineering of steel outfitting (foundations, stairs, platforms, and railings, etc.).
  • Experience with 2D CAD and 3D CAD-systems such as Cadmatic or Catia.
  • Knowledge of Class- and Statutory regulations.
  • Fluent English language skills, German would be advantageous
  • Due to the military nature of the projects, applicants from outside the EU will not be considered
  • A background check will be part of the selection procedure

Our offer

  • Salary depending on experience
  • Annual leave: 27 days plus 13 days ADV
  • Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then € 0.19 per km
  • Pension benefit: employer 50% and employee 50%
