Job description
Our client, a renowned Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with an established customer portfolio is currently seeking an Assistant Project Director to be based at their offices in both Vlissingen (NL) and Hamburg (GER). Given the military nature of clients and projects, an EU citizenship/valid EU work visa is mandatory.
The role You will support the Project Director and the project team in managing, monitoring and continuously improving parts of a multiyear project across domains such as production, purchase, engineering, and project management. This in line with the agreed project scope, quality, planning, budget, time, HSSEQ standards, requirements and internal guidelines to contribute to the realization of the project deliverables for the assigned project. Responsibilities
Support the Project Director in the execution of the project from the effective date of contract (EDC), which includes all engineering, manufacturing and supply chain activities needed to finalize projects within project scope, budget and timelines.
Assists in the development and implementation of all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the project organization achieve project objectives.
Plays an active role in analysing the project issues and helps trouble shouting within the project.

Researching information as required.
Helping to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree.
Basic understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
Competencies: flexible, pragmatic and (environmental) awareness, can get to the heart of an issue quickly and style and level flexibility.
Able to frequently travel and work in the North of Germany and the Netherlands (Vlissingen).
Fluent German and English language skills.
Due to the military nature of the projects, applicants from outside the EU will not be considered.
A background check will be part of the selection procedure.
Our offer
Salary depending on experience.
Annual leave: 27 days plus 13 days ADV.
Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then € 0.19 per km.
