Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end data solutions within Microsoft Fabric. Acting as the link between stakeholders and technical teams, you will ensure business needs are translated into scalable, secure, and future-ready data solutions.

What you will do

Requirements & Business Translation

Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and IT.
Analyse, document, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Challenge and refine requirements to ensure feasibility, scalability, and adherence to best practices.

Microsoft Fabric Development

Design and build data pipelines, dataflows, and semantic models.
Develop and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and real-time analytics solutions.
Optimize data models for Power BI and other analytical tools.

Data Governance & Quality

Ensure consistency, reliability, and security of data across the Fabric environment.
Apply data governance policies, including metadata management, lineage, and classification.
Monitor and resolve data quality issues in collaboration with data owners.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with business users to deliver integrated solutions.
Provide support and documentation for implemented solutions.
Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Job requirements

We are looking for someone with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. Certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) and Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) are a plus. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

You also bring:

3+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, or data engineering.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data solutions.
Strong skills in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing.
Knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and performance optimization.
Experience with data visualization and dashboarding (Power BI).
