Job description

Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Engineer 3D Hull Modelling.

The role
As Engineer 3D Hull Modelling you will make global and detailed 3D surface models of the ship hull and superstructure, including outside deck equipment. This includes designing 3D hull forms in cooperation with the hydrodynamic specialists. In a later phase of a project, you will be responsible for the production fairing of the hull, superstructure, and appendages. As Engineer 3D Hull Modelling, you also support in the shell expansion for Class, plate expansions and foundation drawings in a 3D environment.

Job requirements

  • Bsc Naval Architecture or Vocational education (MBO-4+) with relevant experience
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems, preferably 3DX and Rhino (Grasshopper)
  • Experience with fairing of hull forms and appendages.
  • Dutch and English language skills
  • Due to the military nature of the projects, applicants from outside the EU will not be considered
  • A background check will be part of the selection procedure

Our offer

  • Salary depending on experience
  • Annual leave: 27 days plus 13 days ADV
  • Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then € 0.19 per km
  • Pension benefit: employer 50% and employee 50%
