Job description

This role is within the Project & Engineering Team. As a Discipline Engineer, you'll help initiate technical changes, execute single discipline scopes, and manage multi-discipline projects when outsourced. Collaboration with operations, HSE, and Contractors is vital, including approving drawings.
Your role bridges operational, HSE, and contractor teams.

  • Demonstrate exemplary HSE Leadership and contribute to enhancing clients safety performance and culture.
  • Take charge of executing asset PC in the realm of static (pressure) equipment discipline.
  • Verify the quality of contractors' work, including adherence to specifications, reports, codes, submittals, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations to ensure vendors align with material requisitions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to production operations.
  • Assist in initiating and providing technical expertise for modification (asset PC) projects.
  • Review and approve technical drawings.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient management of change processes.

Job requirements

Still interested? The following is equally important:

  • Minimum BSc (HTS/HBO) or equivalent experience at this level based on previous roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a piping/mechanical static engineer role within the upstream energy industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant standards, technologies, and practices associated with the oil and gas sector.
  • Demonstrable and relevant expertise in mechanical static (and rotating) equipment.
  • Proven interpersonal skills for motivating and influencing stakeholders, driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
  • Expect occasional offshore travel.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
