Job description
Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for an Expeditor.
The role As Expeditor, you are responsible for facilitating the flow of materials to and from various work sites or departments and you are a Key Point of Contact for all parties involved. You will be working with vendors to secure the appropriate goods and coordinate delivery. You will also maintain KPI’s from clients on the delivery dates
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the flow of materials to and from work sites
Key person for securing the appropriate goods and coordinating delivery (logistics, transport, customs)
Handles all formalities for the shipment of goods (shipping documents, customs formalities, transport)
Initiate delivery times alignment between planning, engineering, procurement, and suppliers
Initiate actions in case of expected overrun of delivery time
Takes care of declarations for customs, Chamber of Commerce, Central Bureau of Statistics, and export licenses
Proactively monitors, expedites, and reports supplier’s performance
Reports findings to relevant stakeholders
Job requirements
BSc Logistics or similar with 5 yr experience in; planning methods, logistic processes, transport planning, shipment of goods (incl documents and customs handling)
Team player, negotiation skills, assertive, sell structured, hands-on
You have excellent Dutch and English communication skills in writing and spoken (both required)
EU citizenship or EU work visa is required
A background check will be part of the selection procedure
Our offer
Salary: up to € 5000,- gross per month, depending on experience/education
Annual leave: 27 days per year
ADV hours: 13 days per year with the option to sell these in exchange for a maximum of 5% more salary (0.383% per day)
Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then 0.19 cents per km. A T-tag is issued for employees who use the Westerscheldetunnel for commuting
