Job description

Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Financial Administrator for a project-based position. The project duration is expected to be 1 to 2 years approximately.

The role
Your main responsibility is the maintenance of financial records, the processing of income and expenditure, purchase of goods and services and the undertaking of a range of financial reporting and administrative tasks. As Financial Administrator you will report to the Financial Controller.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Handling purchase ledger invoice processing, checking, coding, batching, posting to the accounts system.
  • Setting up and maintaining customer and supplier accounts.
  • Reconciliation of Supplier Statements.
  • Investigating and resolving supplier and customer queries.
  • Processing credit card payments from employees.
  • Daily processing of bank transactions including monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing supplier payment runs.
  • Sales Ledger cover, including finalizing sales invoices, credit notes and proforma invoices and processing payments received.

Job requirements

  • Vocational (MBO) in Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role preferably in an international technical organization.
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping, accounting, and filing procedures and practices.
  • Strong experience with accounting software and MS Excel skills
  • Dutch and English communication skills
  • EU citizenship or EU work visa is strictly required
  • A background check will be part of the selection procedure

Our offer

  • Salary: up to € 3500,- gross per month, depending on experience
  • Annual leave: 27 days per year + 13 ADV
  • Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then 0.19 cents per km. A T-tag is issued for employees who use the Westerscheldetunnel for commuting
