As a Master on Multicat vessels, you are essential for effectively and safely managing operations on board. You will command the vessel, coordinating all deck activities and lifting operations. Your responsibilities include meticulously navigating the vessel, directly supervising the crew, and ensuring compliance with all operational protocols and safety standards. You will represent our company and our client with professionalism, maintaining communication with other vessels and port authorities.
Responsibilities:
Lead the crew and oversee all aspects on the Multicat.
Navigate the vessel according to strict safety regulations.
Maintain communication with port authorities and other vessels.
Supervise safety during lifting/crane operations.
Identify and resolve technical and operational issues in collaboration with the technical crew (Chief Engineer).
Report progress and any significant matters to the shipping company.
Job requirements
We expact the following:
Required certificates, such as STCW, including a valid license to serve as Master.
At least 2 years of experience as a Master, preferably on Multicat or similar vessels.
Extensive knowledge of machinery and systems specifically related to Multicat vessels.
In-depth knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures.
Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
Proven leadership qualities and strong communication skills.
Ability to work under high pressure and respond effectively to emergencies.
