Job description

Our client, a renowned Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with an established customer portfolio is currently seeking a Project Manager Assistant (non-secretarial) to be based in Vlissingen on a project based assignment. Due to the military nature of the projects and subsequent strict requirements, applicants from outside the EU will not be considered.

The role

As Project Manager Assistant you will be assigned to a project team within the programme. You will directly support the Project Manager, preparing meeting reports, presentations, organization charts or management reports. Additionally, you will attend meetings with clients and suppliers, supplying operational support and advising the client liaison team.

Responsibilities:
  • Arrange meetings with the German customer (generate office diary; request participants involvement and contribution; invite participants; room reservation; send/distribute documents internally; compose/complete protocol and submit to client
  • Distribute action items and questions internally
  • Distribute action items responses from client
  • Check presentations (German spelling, grammar, formatting, and content)
  • Gather and process data for the internal Newsletter
  • Keep organization chart up to date
  • Prepare presentations based on relevant information
  • Assist colleagues with occasional translations and outstanding queries

Job requirements

  • Technical education/Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant study
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal
  • Willing to be part of an international and professional working environment
  • A background check will form a part of the selection process

Our offer

  • Salary depending on experience
  • Annual leave: 27 days plus 13 days ADV
  • Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then € 0.19 per km
  • Pension benefit: employer 50% and employee 50%
