Job description

In this position, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our company's QHSE management system. Your primary focus will be on maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment while upholding the highest standards of quality across all our operations, both onshore and offshore.

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective QHSE management system in accordance with relevant industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce safety regulations and standards, both internally and externally.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and incidents, determining root causes and contributing factors.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop and deliver QHSE training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained to perform their roles safely and responsibly.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure QHSE performance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and ongoing initiatives.
  • Stay informed about relevant QHSE regulations, laws, and industry trends.
  • Ensure the company remains compliant with all applicable QHSE requirements.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of response plans.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QHSE Manager, or in a similar role within a related industry.
  • Familiarity with risk assessments, (offshore) audits, and inspections.
  • Knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Certification and knowledge in relevant QHSE standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) are preferred.
  • Experience in the Renewable, Offshore, or Maritime industry is considered an advantage.
