For one of our Dutch clients we are looking for a Second Engineer for their General Cargo vessel. It is a trip of about 8 to 10 weeks, through international seas. It is your job to make sure that the ship can leave the port, without you they cannot sail!
The engine room is the heart of the vessel and your domain. You also enjoy solving technical problems independently.
As a Second Engineer you work closely together with the Chief Engineer on board. We also expect you to be able to carry out engine room work independently. We expect you to have excellent knowledge of all safety procedures on board and a good command of the English language.
Job requirements
You will be working as a Second Engineer! What do we expect from you?
Minimum of 6 months experience as a Second Engineer on various vessels.
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid passport (valid for at least 6 months before departure).
Fluent in written and spoken English.
