Job description
Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Technical Change Engineer for a project-based position.
The role As Technical Change Engineer, you will play an important role by helping to manage the subcontracts for HVAC, Electrical and Automation (HEA-contracts) in a large project.
Key accountabilities:
Identify, notice, and communicate possible, required, and desired changes in contractual scope with client or subcontractors
Review client change requests and subcontractor change proposals
Analyse the technical impact of proposed changes, together with all project disciplines
Investigate cost and schedule impact of proposed changes, together with Procurement department and Project Planner
Compose change proposals to the client, compose change requests and change orders to subcontractors and assist with contractual negotiations
Share relevant information about scope changes with HEA Team Leaders and other project disciplines
Ensure that agreed changes for the HEA scope are contractually secured and implemented
Job requirements
Bachelor or Master degree preferably in a relevant technical discipline
At least three years of working experience in complex project environments, preferably in maritime or offshore projects
Experienced in Good Engineering Practices, including quality and budget awareness
Experienced to work with and manage third-party vendors and subcontractors
Experienced in contract management and change management
Prepared to work on other locations than the regular office location, in the Netherlands or abroad
Good command of German, Dutch and English language all written and verbal.
EU citizenship and EU work visa is required
A background check will be part of the selection procedure
Our offer
Salary: up to € 5500,- gross per month, depending on experience
Annual leave: 27 days per year
Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then 0.19 cents per km. A T-tag is issued for employees who use the Westerscheldetunnel for commuting
