4th Engineer – Expedition Vessels

Job description

Oceanwide Expeditions specializes in small-scale adventurous expedition cruises to the polar regions. With our fleet of ice-strengthened vessels, we offer our passengers unique expedition voyages to Antarctica and the Arctic.

As a 4th Engineer, you will work as part of a motivated team and will be jointly responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on all technical installations on board. You have a strong awareness of strict environmental and safety procedures and are not afraid to take on new challenges. For this position you get started on the Vessel the m/v Hondius.

Job requirements

What we expect from you:

• At least several voyages of experience as a marine engineer, preferably on vessels with conventional engine types. Experience on passenger vessels is an advantage.
• A valid Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (STCW III/1) Certificate of Competency with no limitations.
• Possession of valid STCW certificates.
• A hands-on attitude with strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and a good command of the English language.
