Job description

Our client is a Dutch shipbuilder of navy vessels, with customers all over the world. For their office in Vlissingen, we are looking for a Junior Automation Engineer.

The role
As Junior Automation Engineer you will be working on a broad variety of tasks in the field of Automation Engineering and will be involved in our German F126 Frigate project. During the execution of the project, you will contribute to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables, such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and test/validation plans.
 
Key accountabilities

  • Support the Engineering team by developing the required deliverables, such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and test/validation plans.
  • Compose and maintain our database with Control and Monitoring functions.
  • Participate in design checks and reviews to guarantee the required quality.

Job requirements

  • Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical study at (pre-)Bachelor level.
  • Preferably some experience in and knowledge of complex automation systems - preferably in ships, offshore or industrial installations.
  • Dutch and English language, both written and verbal, German is a plus.
  • Accurate and collaborating work-attitude.
  • Due to the military nature of the projects, applicants from outside the EU will not be considered
  • A background check will be part of the selection procedure

Our offer

  • Salary depending on experience
  • Annual leave: 27 days plus 13 days ADV
  • Travel costs: € 10 per month for the first 10 km, then € 0.19 per km
  • Pension benefit: employer 50% and employee 50%
