Job description

Undertake & manage marine coastal and inland waterway surveys, or offshore positioning of offshore construction / offshore windfarm vessels. This includes but is not limited to :

Planning and preparation

Installation of modern survey equipment

Calibration and verification

Data acquisition and interpretation

Processing and reporting

Providing technical support for other (ongoing) operations

Advising and instructing on l hydrographic matters

Takes the lead of a team of (junior) surveyors

Trains (junior) surveyors

 

Job requirements

Degree in Survey related discipline(Bachelor/Master), Hydrography, Topography, Geography, Geology, Geomatics, or relevant experience

5 years of recent, relevant experience

Excellent knowledge & skills of modern survey methods and equipment

Undergo offshore medical & offshore survival training

Excellent knowledge & skills for data processing and interpretation; prior use of QPS QINSy and other relevant data collection & post-processing s/w

Full driving license

Flexible work attitude, ability to work alone or as part of a team

Independence and punctuality

Positive team spirit, good mental attitude and the ability to communicate

Methodical, flexible with excellent attention to detail
